Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want a way to travel but not feel like or be like a tourist. I also think this would be a great way to build a group of friends around the globe. That is one of my goals. It would also be great for language immersion because I want to learn a lot of languages. Right now I'm working on Hebrew and German.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am currently enjoying the Holy Bible. In the past I enjoyed White Oleander by Janet Fitch, The Fever (I don't recall the author) and I really enjoyed The Giver (I used it for an English course I taught).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I overcame my "fear" of flying when I boarded an airplane from Detroit (it's really Romulus) to the first stop in St. Louis. It was horrible. My ears hurt and I couldn't hear. Upon arrival in I became sick with some type of post nasal drip or allergies or something. I had as much fun as possible and learned a lot.
