About Me
Hi! I’m Veronica from Manta, Ecuador. I’m a slow traveler and jewelry designer who loves long journeys and deep connections with people.
I’ve done a 111-day trip around all 32 states of Mexico and a volunteer trip in Africa teaching children how to make jewelry. Now I’m planning new adventures in Europe and Asia.
I’m a positive, respectful and independent woman. I enjoy simple moments: walking by the sea, sharing stories, good coffee, a glass of wine and lots of laughter. I like organized, clean spaces and I always take care of the places where I stay as if they were my own home.
On Couchsurfing I want to meet locals, exchange cultures and maybe host travelers in my home in Manta when I’m not on the road.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I love slow travel, real human connections and sharing cultures. I don’t just want to visit places, I want to meet the people who live there, listen to their stories and see their city through their eyes.
As a guest, I am respectful, clean and independent. As a host, I love opening my home in Manta, Ecuador when I’m there, and making people feel welcome. For me, Couchsurfing is not free accommodation, it’s a beautiful way to build friendships around the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Something amazing I’ve done
I did a 111-day trip across all 32 states of Mexico, staying with local women and families and collecting stories for a future book.
I also volunteered in Uganda, Africa, teaching children with disabilities how to make jewelry so they can have an income in the future.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I can teach basic jewelry making, share about Ecuadorian and Latin American culture, and help with simple Spanish phrases. I also love sharing travel tips from my long journeys.
Learn: I’d love to improve my English, learn some Italian and other languages, and discover local recipes, traditions and everyday life in each place I visit.
Share: I can share stories, good conversation, a positive attitude, help in the house, and sometimes a home-cooked Ecuadorian meal or some little jewelry pieces made by me.
What I Can Share with Hosts
a guest I am respectful, tidy and independent. I always try to leave spaces cleaner than I found them and I’m happy to help with small things at home (dishes, cooking, organizing, etc.). I usually buy my own food and I don’t expect luxury, just a safe and friendly place.
I can share stories from my travels in Mexico, Africa and many other places, teach a bit of jewelry making and simple Spanish, and sometimes cook an Ecuadorian meal or bring a small handmade jewelry gift. Most of all, I offer good conversation, a positive attitude and real interest in the people who open their home to me.
