ABOUT ME

My husband and I are an Israeli couple (originally from Russia), traveling with a several-month-old daughter. We are coming to New Zealand at the end of November, and plan to stay through early May.

Once we arrive to New Zealand, we intend to buy a car for the duration of our stay.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have hosted people from the Czech Republic and from Russia, but not through the Couchsurfing website. They have since become great friends!

Interests

Both of us love the outdoors, and have gone rock-climbing and trekking in many parts of the world (including summiting several 7,000-meter peaks). In Israel, my husband works as an outdoor guide for trekking, alpine climbing, and canyoning, and also had a lot of knowledge about rope-work and rope access. I (Veronica) work as a GIS analyst. Both of us are members of a local cave-rescue unit, and are also experienced horse riders (we've guided horse-riding groups for several-day trips in the Caucasus mountains). In college, we had studied field archaeology (I hold an MA, while Boris has a BA). Boris is also an avid cook, and would happily help with food-preparation.
