Down-to-earth, open minded, friendly and honest. :)

I'm a very laid-back kind of person, who likes to just go with the flow when I'm travelling. I consider myself to be a positive realist: I like to see the bright side of most situations, but at the same time be realistic.

I am not afraid to say what I think and share my point of view, but I also like to hear what other people think. I think a difference in opinion makes for an interesting discussion when both people can be open minded and considerate towards the other's views! :)

PHILOSOPHY

Life is for living, and nobody is going to hand it to you on a plate. You have to strive for what you want and grab every opportunity with both hands. Sometimes you need to create your own opportunities!

With hard work comes success, and everything else is just luck. Treat others as you would like to be treated yourself. Keep an open mind and an open heart and see the beauty in others as they are, not as you wish them to be. Take the time to appreciate the world as it is every day. Appreciate the little things in life!
There is a lot to be said for some kind words and a smile :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was based in Europe for about two years, and used couchsurfing while doing weekend trips and holidays in various countries. I have found it to be a brilliant way to meet people and experience different cultures!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All of my Couchsurfing experiences have been brilliant!

I have stayed with hosts in Copenhagen, Stockholm, Munich, Vienna, Canberra and Spain, and found Couchsurfing to be a great way to get to know local people and culture, and get some insider tips on great places to visit in the area!

I have kept in contact with some of my hosts, consider them to be friends, and have been back to visit some of them again :)

I enjoy listening to music, photography, hanging out with friends, travelling, learning anything new, and being outdoors. I live a busy life style but try to fit my interests into my daily life as much as possible!

A cold beer on a hot summers day, with good company is an ideal situation! ;)

Music: I listen to a wide range of music, but I am not really into rap and mainstream pop
I like most sub-genre's of rock, metal, reggae, blues, soul etc

Roskilde Festival in Denmark (2010,'11 & '13).
Moving to the other side of the world, not knowing anyone when I got there & travelling around meeting amazing new people :)
7 weeks backpacking around Europe :)

I know it said 'ONE', but too bad! ;) Too many amazing experiences to only list one!
