Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing simply to have a place to stay when I went on my first trip abroad in 2018, but I fell in love with the community and since, I just love meeting other travellers and learning about other cultures. It has become much more than I thought it ever could.

Interests

I'm very passionate about two things - storytelling and travelling, which is why I want to become a foreign news reporter. I love travelling because it allows me to listen to people's stories.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not huge on music or art, but I do love books! Some of my all-time favourites are Kerouac's On the Road, Tolkien's Hobbit and Wild by Cheryl Strayed. Lately, I liked the book My Policeman.

As for TV series, I'll take any true crime Netflix has to offer. I don't watch many movies at home, but I love going to the cinema, especially to see queer movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2018, I have hitch hiked from London to Glasgow with my best friend.

In 2019, we went on a month long trip across the Balkans. Hitchhiking, couchsurfing, camping...

In 2022, I volunteered on a chilli farm in Germany.

The most amazing thing I've done in my life so far is simply the first ever decision to travel. There's not a single thing I would rather be doing. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can't host as much as I would like to, but I give tours of Brno to travellers! I'm also not a terrible cook, so I can teach you how to cook some of my favourite foods. I'm a huge coffee lover as well, so if you need any tips for cool cafés in Brno (or generally anywhere I've been), I'm your person!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook for you, show you my city, teach you some Czech or give you a photoshoot! 😄 If you are interested, I can also teach you how to not kill your plants.
