About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Discovering. Learning. Enyoing

ABOUT ME

I am a very bold and, at times, very daring person, always looking forward to new experiences. For me life is either a great adventure or nothing, it is an uncharted territory, that will reveal its story one moment at a time.

PHILOSOPHY

Start doing the things you think should be done, and start being what you think society should become. Do you believe in free speech? Then speak freely. Do you love the truth? Then tell it. Do you believe in an open society? Then act in the open. Do you believe in a decent and humane society? Then behave decently and humanely.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined the CS Community in 2010, and I loved it! I'm coming back after a very long hiatus where I focused in my career and personal life. I have participated in several gatherings, from cooking meetings to parties. Every meeting is so different, full of energy and fun people, ready to welcome you warmly and make you feel like you are at home. I believe that Couch Surfing embraces what friendship and understanding is all about!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While in Venezuela, I have had three experiences where I hosted people from Finland, Germany, Colombia and Brazil.

1. The guys from Europe lived in my house for one year due to my previous exchange experience in Norway.

2. The Colombian couple were part of a Dance Company and did not have a place to stay for 10 days, so my mother and I host them in our house, showed them our city, our culture and food.

3. During the Copa America in 2007 (Soccer tournamet), all the Hotels and Hostals were crowded and this Brazilian man was wandering around the city, at night, looking for some place to stay during the games in my city. So he stayed with us for a week!

When all of this happened, I wasn´t part of CouchSurfing. I just like to help people in every way I can!

When I joined CS My family and I hosted 4 people so far Francesco from Italy
Laurent from France
Wouter from the Netherlands
Emma from France

Now that I live in the Netherlands, I have hosted 6 people:

1. Emma from Canada
2. Dann from Belgium
3. Alexander from Liechtenstein
4. Pamela from Belgium
5. Vanessa from Germany
6. Rosiane from Brazil

I have surfed the couch of Helio Rodak in Florianopolis.

I have also hosted cooking meetings and participated in the organization of language meetings while I was living in Brazil.

My experiences in CS so far have been amazing...!

3. Walk, stand and stare at the biggest glacier in Norway (Jostedalsbreen), and drink from its water. Is breathtaking!
