ABOUT ME

Hey!
Well... my name is Amanda Verpoorte, and I´m 23. How boring is that? Well I was travelling around the world with a broken foot and two lovely crutches until beginning of march 2012, how about that ?
I´m half swiss half dutch (but except for the hair I´m more swiss than dutch and unfortunately do not speak dutch at all!), I lived in switzerland almost my whole life untill I decided I need to leave my little CH for a big city - LONDON - and to travel around the world (with a cast, obviously). Yes I´m crazy about travelling.
Otherwise.... mmmh I graduated as an Engineer in October 2012 and I´m starting a PhD in summer 2012.

And.... ### NEVER TRY NEVER KNOW ### is my dogma (yes, absolutely, very deep thoughts).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started couch surfing in South America mostly because hostels were so expensive and I became addicted!!! we always meet AWESOME people that we would not be able to meet in hostel (in hostels there is only backpackers - tourists meeting other tourists). Each experience has been different but only positive!

Visiting the salar Uyuni during the rainy season, the most surreal and beautiful place I've seen in my life!
