About Me

Hi! I’m Weronika, originally from Poland but currently always on the move, now for an internship in Bologna, Italy, curious about new places, people, and ideas. I studied psychology and creative writing, and I love combining those two passions — listening to people’s stories and sharing my own through writing, photography, and travel.

I’m easygoing, curious, and love good conversations that go beyond small talk. I enjoy cooking simple meals together, exploring cities on foot, and getting to know places from the local perspective. I’m also into photography, books, and all kinds of creative projects.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to travel in a way that’s more personal and closer to people. Staying in hotels or apartments feels a bit too distant — you don’t really get to know the place that way. What I like about Couchsurfing is the chance to share stories, spend time with locals, and see a city through someone else’s eyes. For me, that’s what makes traveling memorable.

Music, Movies, and Books

My playlist is a mix of everything from Deftones and Twenty One Pilots to Sigur Rós, Cloud Cult, Lucius, Lorde, and a bit of Blood Orange. I love discovering new sounds, especially when traveling — I got really into North Macedonian music when I was there, and I like exploring the local music scene wherever I go.

As for books, one of my favorites is Steppenwolf by Hermann Hesse — I like stories that dive deep into identity and self-discovery. For movies, I can enjoy something thoughtful but also something light and fun — so let’s just say my comfort film is Tangled.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recently, while visiting the Azores, I had the chance to see whales in the wild. It was one of those moments that makes you feel tiny and amazed at the same time :D

Teach, Learn, Share

I can definitely teach you how to crochet, it’s one of those calming little hobbies I love, and it’s fun to pass on hahah I also enjoy sharing bits of psychology and creative writing, whether it’s about understanding people or just telling better stories.

I’d love to learn more about local cultures, languages, food, and music wherever I go. For me, traveling is all about exchanging small pieces of everyday life, that make the experience more personal.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share good company, curiosity, and plenty of stories. I’m always up for cooking together, helping out around the house, or just spending time chatting about travel, books, or music. I also love taking photos, so I’d be happy to capture some nice memories if you’d like.

Mostly, I try to bring respect, openness, and a positive vibe — and hopefully leave behind a good memory of our time together :D
