About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn more about myself and others. continue to grow and share my experiences.

ABOUT ME

I'm a normal human in his late-twenties. One part boring, one part interesting and 2 parts questions. I graduated from Michigan State University in '07 and am now on a journey to find my place in the world.
More recently I taught English as a second language in Taiwan for two years (loved it) before doing a working holiday I'm Australia. My next stop is New Zealand and then maybe south-east Asia. I'll admit, I've got the travel bug!

PHILOSOPHY

Every experience is a good one unless it leaves you dead, maimed, amputated or otherwise incapacitated. And when times do suck, and they will, I don't think it's ever unfair to tell yourself "It's not the end of the world". Unless of course, it is.

Also. I believe that 'humanity' is more than a list of characteristics. I actually believe that it is an unquantifiable thing. Like love. It is something every human shares and once we realize that we are connected through this thing, we can finally reach our true potential.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Other than spreading the word to people who might actually be interested, once I settle down I'd love to host people, just meeting people in general is great. You can learn and teach so much. The world is so much larger than the hostels and tours that we're told we should buy into if we want to have fun.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only surfed once, my friend introduced me to it and we stayed with some great college students in Chicago for two nights. Since then I've all but forgotten about couchsurfing. I'm hoping to get back into the culture and see what I can contribute to the community I hardly knew existed!

Interests

I like many things, but specifically I'm interested in:
Traveling, boardgames, vapassana meditation, snowboarding, scuba diving, cliff jumping, learning new things, trying to sing and dance, philosophy and dreams.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's amazing that I've gotten to where I am now. Especially considering the infinite amount of other places I could be. That means I had a ONE out of INFINITY chance of being where I am now. That's so lucky!

I can't believe I've the experiences I've had, it just goes to show what is still out there for me to find.

Teach, Learn, Share

I hope I can at least introduce some new possibilities into your life. I'm one of those who are still discovering what they're good at, help me do that!

I hope to learn alternative ways of doing things, cooking, playing, living.

I want to share philosophy and understanding.
