ABOUT ME

27 year old guy from the USA, spent 2014-2016 traveling through New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, and Thailand. Now I am back in the USA in beautiful Sacramento California (for now!).

I'm a open-minded, social, and curious human being who loves to meet new people and learn about the world. I am a practicing Buddhist and cultivating inner peace and living a balanced and centered life is important to me. The world pulls us in so many directions, life is good when you take a breath and observe it rather than be tossed around ;-)

I am a burner! The 10 Burning Man principles are important to my lifestyle.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I spent 2014-2016 traveling Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia and Thailand and it was a truly beautiful experience. I was introduced to Couchsurfing in New Zealand and surfed with some amazing hosts. Now that I have settled down and live in a home I would like to focus on hosting. I also am always down to meet travelers and show them around my city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Lived on an off-the grid Kiwi sanctuary in Kings Country NZ
Was welcomed into a Maori Community
Wrangled 4 mo old calves on a dairy farm (twice)
Stayed with a couple of Tassies who were epic world travelers
Crashed with a cool cat at his resource management / plant medicine home
Dived the Great Barrier Reef in Australia
....

Also have a lot experience with WWOOFing and Burning Man...

I've been minimizing the movie/TV watching but I enjoy thinkers and insightful movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My favorite couchsurfing experience was partnering up with field scientists to search for a Kiwi Nest deep in the bush of Kings Country, in order to rescue the eggs for incubation and track the health of the mother.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about a lot of things, not only my city but some of my interests and hobbies:

I roast coffee and can teach you how to do this as well as brew a good cup of coffee.
I develop black and white film in a dark room and can teach you that.
I am passionate about meditation and yoga and I can share with you, but probably not teach you the techniques, I am not a qualified teacher ;)

Couchsurfing is about giving without expectation.

As a surfer I always give respect, good vibes, and a great attitude and conversation. I am happy to help around the household and learn about your lifestyle.

As a host, I can share many of my experiences as well as a place for surfers to safely rest.
