我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm a recent college grad and artist with a year to travel and explore. First hopping around the US, then heading to the eastern hemisphere for a few months. CS seems like an awesome way to exchange culture and see a city from the inside out, and though I'm new to it I hope to have one of those intensely cool CS veteran type profiles one day.

MUSIC: twenty-one pilots, blind pilot, jamie xx, feisty feminist music, crappy pop, bhangra/bollywood, alt J, andrew bird, regina spektor, classical piano, sufjan, skrillex, stevie wonder, chance the rapper, sara bareilles, native american flute, bon iver, london grammar, chet faker, the bieber ( i know, but rly), flume, kendrick, and many random indie acoustic thingies.

Sidenote: I've been getting more into meditation recently, so I've been listening to a lot of chill vibey music. I'm pretty open to listen to anything and like hearing new sounds.

BOOKS: currently reading about the philosophy of psychiatry. Also reading Junot Diaz. Autobiography of a Yogi is next on my list. I read a lot of beat poetry.
Otherwise, am a Potter nerd.

MOVIES: I love movie nights and admittedly love chick flicks. Recently finished grey's anatomy on an epic binge. Also enjoy psychological thrillers and documentaries (Cowspiracy, Samsara, etc). I also enjoy animated movies...Up, Inside Out, Zootopia...really want to see Moana soon. I don't really like war or horror films, but other than that am pretty open to watch most things.

-got an asteroid named after me
-bungee jumped in New Zealand
-rode on an Indian prince's camel and elephant and also sat on his giraffe
-got an award to make art and travel
-snorkel in hanauma bay
-ride an inflatable raft in 20+ ft waves
-do yoga at sunrise at the pyramids of giza
-eaten my way through Kuala Lumpur (literally in a food tour)
