Hey there!

A bit about me:

I live in the heart of Washington, D.C. in the Columbia Heights neighborhood which is close to restaurants, bars, grocery stores and the metro. It is very diverse and has a lot going on. You can walk to monuments in about 25 minutes from my home.

I am originally from Cincinnati, Ohio however I moved to North Carolina at age 14 and went to high school and college in Chapel Hill; I love North Carolina and the people there.

Right now I work at an anti-trafficking NGO and also run my own web consultancy. I work with a lot of non-profits and cause-based projects. I also do freelance market research work for large companies: I am their eyes and ears on the ground in Washington and report back on the latest trends and innovative parts of this vibrant and growing city.

I enjoy teaching, dance and making music. I also play Djembe (African drum). I absolutely love biking, especially in DC. I like it so much that I recently started a blog dedicated to bike culture in the city (http://bikingdc.com/).

I stay pretty active and go for daily runs and tend to do more than the average person here - if you surf with me you will see :-).

I have traveled a bit and I have family in Europe but I desire to travel more in the future. For now I am dedicated to my career here in Washington.

Overall, my goal is enjoy every day, to serve others and to continue to live a happy and healthy life.
