HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't done much with Couch Surfing yet but I'd love to get more involved and grab coffee with anyone or host someone who may be traveling through Rochester, NY. And yes, I realize that no one may EVER travel through Rochester, NY...but let a girl dream!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My friend and I traveled through (mostly) Western Europe after college (typical, right? haha). Our first and only CS experience was staying with two AMAZING French girls in Nice who put us up in the spare bedroom in their apartment. Not only were they incredible and fun but they also took us out on the town for some drinks one of the nights we stayed. They are both way more experienced travelers than we are, so I drool over all the pictures they post of Facebook from all their trips and can't wait to get reinvolved in couchsurfing as a host (if possible) and as a guest!

兴趣

Well obviously I like to travel, although I haven't done as much of it as I'd like. My next dream trip is to travel the US. Since it's my home country and it has so many incredible places worth seeing, I figure I should get to know it better before I explore the rest of the world. I also desperately want to travel around South America I really enjoy a lot of outdoor activities like hiking and running and swimming. I grew up in NH so there was plenty of that going on. I used to spend a majority of my time at the docks on the Lake/River by my house. I run at least three miles a day. It's my release! I have plans to run some races at the end of this summer and hope to do a sprint triathlon next summer if I get better at swimming! I enjoy sports...my favorites are baseball (Red Sox), collekge basetball (Villanova breaks my heart every year but I always go back for more so I guess I'm a bit of a massochist), Football (Patriots), and I'm open to learning more about sports I don't watch as much.I love going out. I think my beer gut speaks for itself (just kidding). I love food, trying new foods and I'm trying to learn how to cook. It's a slow process but maybe someday I'll make my Italian family proud.I LOVE meeting new people, laughing, learning. I'd like to start reading more. I've recently started playing golf and I'm looking for a new hobby so maybe I'll be able to add something new to this section soon. Someday I'd love to take dance lessons--maybe Salsa! Oh, and I have a cat but I'm not a cat lady. Love animals...they're awesome.

I like such a variety of music that it's hard to say...Classic rock: Led Zep, Eagles, some Stones, CCR etc. Jam Bands: Dead, DMB (in concert is good stuff). Saw New Riders of the Purple Sage a couple weekends ago. SUPER fun.Country: Sorry y'all...this is one of my favorite genresRap: Love me some Eminem, Dr. Dre, Tupac. Especially when I'm running. I went to a 50 Cent concert once. That was interesting. Other stuff: Third Eye Blind, Black Keys...whateverMovies: Goodwill Hunting, Remember the Titans, Shawshank (me and the rest of the world list that one I guess), Fight Club, Despicable Me, Wedding Crashers, Role Models, Love Actually, any classic disney movie (my dad took me to see Beauty and the Beast 6 times in theatre when I was little--now that's love), pretty much any musical, any animated movie, any movie that makes me laugh or cry (which is pretty much any movie. Love Jason Segel--love of my life. Books: Crime and Punishment, Running with Scissors, Lolita, Where the Wild Things Are, Miss Rumphius, Of Mice and Men. I think that sums up most books I've read...just kidding?

I'd LOVE to learn how to surf. I took a lesson once but much to my surprise it looks like I'll need a couple more haha. I love meeting anyone who can teach me or show me anything that expands my horizons.
