Idealist/ day-dreamer, bit of a perfectionist, creative-minded...

I'm working at a secondary school giving conversation English lessons to teenagers/ young adults - I absolutely love it.

I love exploring new places and meeting people from all over the world; having my eyes opened to new perspectives I've never considered before; hearing/ sharing stories, culture, food and experiences. I love pretty much all food, but my favourite has got to be the Thai cuisine which is so varied and flavourful and exciting. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm still quite a rookie - I've stayed with two people, but never hosted myself because it's kinda difficult when you're living with other people. Anyway, whoever came up with this idea was a genius - it offers so many opportunities for people all over the world, and it's definitely the best way to gain a more "authentic" experience in a new city/ town/ village/ place. I love the open-mindedness of the people on this website and their openness in general. It restores my faith in human kindness.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste depends on what mood I'm in/ what I'm doing. To wake up, my go-to music is usually Motown classics. I love Fleetwood Mac, the Cure, Paolo Nutini and more. I go through phases of listening to a specific song or artist hundreds of times before moving onto something else. At the moment I love bachata music. There's something really appealing to me about Spanish and salsa music.

I love books - I've got quite a collection and am trying to make my way through them. My favourites are mostly Russian classics or in the fantasy genre. I also like TV shows, but for me, nothing beats Game of Thrones.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent an amazing two months in 2013 teaching in Thailand, which I will never forget.
