ABOUT ME

Hey! I'm from Hampshire in the south of England, living in London now. I love to travel, meet new people, eat new food and see great live music, and Couchsurfing is a great way to experience all of that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfing or hosting, depending on circumstances. I stayed with a great guy in Phnom Penh who helped me really see the city from another point of view. I've had people stay with us when I had a flat - one guy who I helped show the sights (pubs) of Dublin, and another couple of girls who just wanted to crash out after a long journey.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted a couple of people at my previous home in Dublin and been hosted once. I got into the idea through my brother who Couchsurfed across the USA a couple of years back.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Disney films, and basically anything involving Maggie Smith or Brendan Gleeson. For tv shows I watch a LOT of Simpsons, and like The Wire & Breaking Bad.

I read quite a bit, recent great books include Lord of the Flies, The 100 Year Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared, and Orange is the New Black. Currently trying again to read Lord of the Rings, but it's going very slowly!

For music, anything goes really. I've been going to festivals since 2001 and I like to see as much diverse music as possible. Currently I'm playing a lot of folk and electro-swing. All-time favourite bands include Stevie Wonder, System of a Down, Johnny Flynn, Idlewild, The Eagles, Simon & Garfunkel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sunset in the Australian outback, followed by a sky full of stars, it was incredible and unforgettable.

Food! I love cooking and eating and I am really happy to cook for anyone kind enough to host me.
