ABOUT ME

My name is Vicky. I am from Indonesia, born and raised. I come from Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia. Currently I am studying MSc Public Policy in University of Bristol. I am also AIESEC member, the largest student-led, not-for-profit international organisation in the world which promote cultural understanding by sending young people abroad to do volunteer. I have worked in AIESEC since I did my undergraduate degree (2010-2012). This is why I love the idea of couchsurfing. It is not just about giving people free place to sleep, but it is to create peace and cross-cultural understanding among world citizen. I am open-minded and full of curiosity. I love to learn new things, meet new people, learn new cultures, and share my own cultures. People say that I am like a walking encyclopedia, because they think I know a lot of thing. Well, it is somehow true lol I speak Indonesian and English. I also learned German, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and French. I really love language, because it is a good way to understand each other.

I love singing, photography, traveling and volunteering. I have been singing since I was in kindergarten. I am obsessed with musical and broadway. I have been a part of two musical productions before, and I got a part as the actor. I really wish that one day I can perform in West End and Broadway. And then I wish I can be a model for storefront display. If you want to look at my pictures you can open my instagram. I will tell you my instagram username once we meet. Next, I really LOVE traveling! My favourite spot is mountainous area, because it can bring me peace and tranquility. After that, I also really LOVE volunteering. The first volunteer experience was in Miskolc, Hungary in 2011 in which I volunteered as English teacher in a secondary school. I have volunteered as reader for people with visual impairment, english teacher for marginalised children in four different places in Jakarta, Indonesia, and so on.
