After backpacking 15 km through the Amazon rainforest... I came across an Indian Village. The village belonged to a Tupi tribe (ethnic group of Dessanos and Tucanos) and I managed to speak Portuguese with the tribe's Shaman. Following the discussion, I found myself entering a hut, locking arms, and participating in a ritual dance. It was one of the most majestic experiences of my life. The indigenous people of the Amazon are so beautiful.
