"The only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars and in the middle you see the blue centerlight pop and everybody goes “Awww!".

Let's get started, actually, these words are not mine, but are extracted from a book (which I highly recommend) called "On the Road", by Jack Kerouac, that in a very deep and beautiful manner describe how I feel inside and towards others. That is one part. Continuing more about me, I could describe myself as being patient, social and respectuful. Always willing to have a good talk, to share ideas and spread good vibes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

What I like about CS is that it brings the world or new ideas to you, through the talks of people that also have more worlds and ideas in their mind, so is an immense set of possibilities to get into something... call it knowledge, call it magic, call it being more human. Currently (but no definetively), I cannot accept surfers because I am sharing a place with one more person. However, I never discard the possibility to meet up with new people, have a nice talk (with beer or coffee, I am enthusiastic of both options!) and help if it is needed and possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can listen almost of everyhing and I am interested in discovering new genres/bands/singers. Some of my favorite things to play are Opeth, Led Zeppelin or Rush (in the case for rocky things) Warpaint, Artic Monkeys, Sigur Ros, Explosions in The Sky, Biffy Clyro. As well, I like a little Robert Schuman, Gustav Mahler and Beethoven. I stand quite good reggae, ska, bossa nova, jazz, blues, and music in french. So if your are able to share your playlists with me, it will be a pleasure. Beers and rock: fine, wine and jazz: perfect, music is mood as well!

Some of my favorite books (I am book worm): One Hundred Years Of Solitude, The Catcher In The Rye, Rayuela, The Fight Club, On The Road, Farenheit 451, Love in Cholera Times, The Color Out Of Space, and many more!! Besides stories, I try to read from other disciplines, I am interested in psychology, technology, sports, traveling, culture, languages and history, for instance.
