About Me

I've never couchsurfed before since I've just turned 18 but I surely plan on doing so in the next year!

I'm in college studying social sciences until 2017 and I'm planing on studying International Relations in university afterwards, probably in my hometown of Montréal.

I like people in general and find them all interesting in some way.

My first language is French, but I also speak English although I'm quite shy with English-born speakers since I have trouble pronouncing words correctly :( Also, I plan on travelling in hispanic countries so I can work on my Spanish.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My life goal is to see as much of the world as I can and couchsurfing seems like the perfect way to do it! Also, I feel like I can learn so much more about the culture if I live with a 'local'.

Interests

Anything really. I'm fascinated by random stuff that catches my attention. Love to hear people's stories, could listen for days. If it makes me happy I'll have a go.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC:
I like the Québécois classics (Les Colocs, Jean Leloup, Daniel Bélanger, etc.)
Generally I like pretty much everything, especially rock, alternative, folk, etc.
I think the 60s and the 70s were incredible music-wise - Kinks, Doors, Stones, Hendrix and the like. But otherwise I'm not picky!

MOVIES:
pretty much anything that makes me think. What comes to mind is Kubrick, Christopher Nolan, Donnie Darko, Submarine, Xavier Dolan, ... lighter stuff is great too.

BOOKS:
I'm trying to aquire a better culture so I try to read as much classics as I can, but with school and everything it's kind of going nowhere. I re-read the Harry Potters every once in a while. Also, I loved Siddhartha, Catcher in the Rye, Fight Club, ... my favorite book is Le Petit Prince.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent a few days in Chilcapamba, Ecuador, with an indigenous family who showed me a completely different way to see life.
