Overview
About Me
Originally hailing from badass Brooklyn herself, I've found myself a London transplant for the past four years where I'm pursing a career in writing (plays, film, travel, etc.)
There's an author I love (Cheryl Strayed who wrote 'Wild' and 'Tiny Beautiful Things) and there's a quote of hers where she talks about these two twin yearnings that have remained true throughout all the other dramatic changes of her life, the yearnings to travel and to write. That's how I've always felt. That whatever else changes: where I live, the films I like, the food I most enjoy, the two loves that never ever ever change for me are my love of writing and travel.
I believe the world is an amazing, wondrous place and travelling is the ultimate reminder of that. So let's share some stories.
P.S. I feel like I should probably give you a fun fact about me that tells you a little about who I am so here goes: The first words I ever said were "Dead Bird"---and honestly if that doesn't tell you about me what will?
(There is a very charming story that goes with that, I promise)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I started out on couchsurfing a few years ago and I've never looked back. I am so deeply grateful for each and every person I've interacted with because of this site---whether it's getting to surf/host, meeting up for a coffee, or even the folks that can't host but still take the time to send you loads of recommendations and advice. This is such a spectacular and special place---and quite a welcome reminder of how wonderful people can be.
Interests
I'm interested in everything. Seriously, if you've got something that you are deeply passionate about and want to share, I'm interested.
I've recently graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art where I pursued my Master in Acting, specifically for the classical theatre (basically we did a ton of Shakespeare.) The theatre is my passion, both as an actor and as a playwright.
And of course I love to travel. I think that being a world traveler and an actor go hand in hand----both derive from a curiosity and interest in the stories of others. So let's share some stories together.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I recently went to Borneo where I got to see an orangutan in the wild and I full completely and unabashedly wept when I saw her.
Going on Europe's biggest drop tower at the Liseberg Amusement Park in Gothenburg, Sweden. By myself.
Visiting the Olympic Stadium in Helsinki where my grandfather competed in the 1952 Helsinki Olympics.
Kayaking in the Adriatic Sea around Dubrovnik's Old Town.
Paragliding in the Himalayas when I was in Nepal. Everything that sounds better when you can say it happened in the Himalayas.
Spending all night staying up and talking to the many talented and wonderful artists participating in the Edinburgh Fringe festival.
Watching the first staged professional reading of a play I wrote. I play I went to Bangladesh to write.
