I'm a 32 yr old South Aussie girl who loves nature. Not a huge shopper or big fan of hitting up the club, much more content at home with beers or a big glass of red, and great company.

So I planned this crazy trip- fly to Cairns, then hitch-hike my way around the east coast, free camping and couchsurfing.

For a long time, I've been chewed out for being too nice, too trusting, too friendly. When I started planning this trip, I regularly was told that I was an idiot. It made me realise that people aren't as trusting towards others, and I should write a book about my experiences to show that mateship is still alive and well.

Sci-fi books and movies, meteorology, photography, gardening and self sustainability, swimming, music of all genres, but particularly metal and grunge

Music- all genres. But I love metal, seeing Slipknot in Sydney this year. Love live music- if its got a cheap cover charge, I'm there!
Books- I can read Isaac Asimov forever. Love old fairy tales and texts. Anything meteorological and layman's physics, such as Paul Davies.

Something amazing... I've lived a pretty quiet life. Married with kiddos for 12 years. My kiddos are now mid-teens (yeah, dont do the math). I think the only amazing thing I 've done is shown my daughters that if you want to do something you truly love and believe in, you can. I've been a big self-teacher, living in libraries and online. I managed to learn enough to achieve my goals, even after many years.

I can teach the basics of photography, playing the guitar, gardening. I'd also love to be someones buddy if they wanna do something but friends are unavailable or not interested.

A super chill, relaxed bogan? I'm a bit ocker, a bit prim and proper. I have a great listening ear if you love to rabble on with a beer and share the things you love.

I am super hands on, mighty tough. I have bruises still from being a bit too gung ho moving scaffolding at work. But I love diy home projects, can build a fence, paint, a few odds and ends. In particular, I love gardening and can happily weed for hours to make something look pretty. Heck, you may find fresh flowers in your house all stealthily pinched from neighbours.

Every moment I spend couch surfing is appreciated and I will spend a lot of time trying to figure out the best way to be the best surfer for you.
