About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Stay in balance and share in life along the way...
ABOUT ME
I love people! Meeting them, hearing their story and cheering them on. We love our dogs and consider them family members... We have a peaceful household with our 11 year old, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 guinea pigs and 12 chickens. I work part time in pediatric dentistry and write grants to fund and facilitate a local art program for children with autism. Our son attends a Reggio Emilia public school, is on the swim team and dog sits in his spare time. Ummmm.... what else, we have a rather large garden for living in the city.
PHILOSOPHY
Everything is connected and the more you pay attention the more you will see that.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We love to live our lives in service of others and hear of their life stories. It is a great way to keep our children's life view large and of course, we like to travel and adventure a bit ourselves.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We have very much enjoyed hosting several couchsurfing souls. We don't venture out as often but each trip has touched our hearts and made travel possible on our budget...
Interests
I am fascinated and currently learning about alternative education (Montessori/Waldorf/Unschooling). I LOVE the ocean and visit her whenever I can! Enjoy homesteading... canning, making my own soaps, lip balms... I feel like a home-maker scientist. I almost never cook the exact same meal twice. Several years ago I managed a metaphysical business and love listening to other's spiritual experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books
Too many to list! Maybe I will revisit this section another time... Nahko and Medicine for the People for sure!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once bought and old school house (why we moved to Indiana, really) with my husband and we fixed it up a bit and held art events until we were expecting our son. It was SO much fun, our favorite events were the week long free camp out festivals for artists.
Awestruck moments... how about those simple moments when you walk out to your garden and see a flower blooming that was yesterday just a bud...
Teach, Learn, Share
I have studied a lot of different spiritual paths and have quite a library for you to browse.
Always happy to share in an art exploration in my studio across the street...
What I Can Share with Hosts
I teach a gelliplate printmaking technique that I would be willing to share upon request (cause I need to know to bring the supplies with me).
I am part of an artist makerspace that places #communityovercompetition. I would love to dialogue more about that and share experiences/lessons in shifting to collaboration consciousness.
I recently published a deck of inspiration cards with my paintings and I would be happy to gift copies of these.
I can bring crystals I have mined...
Or I can keep totally to myself and not bother my host at all if that is preferred.
