About Me

"The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page."
~St. Augustine

After college I went to Brazil with my college tennis team to help a guy who helps glue-sniffing street kids. What a trip. Then I came back to Iowa for a month and then went to China for a year to teach English. What a trip! I came back to Iowa for a while but then I got bored and went to Mexico to help out another guy with his deaf school, and a little bit later went to the mountains of Kosovo with a group to play sports with mountain kids. Man, life's a trip!

And then I moved to New Jersey.

And then I moved to Michigan, where I currently reside.

In Michigan I play tennis and ping pong, read lots of books, write some fiction and some journals, and enjoy having good conversations with good people. Or even bad people once in a while.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Hoping to meet some great people. So far so good!

Interests

I've been journaling for 15 years. It's great cheap therapy. :) I've started writing fiction and man, that's hard. But if you're not doing hard things you're dying, right?

I played college tennis and still love to play.

I played (intramural) college ping pong and it's a love of mine.

Like Ferris Bueller says, "Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it."
