ABOUT ME

I live in Marlboro, VT 15 minutes outside of Brattleboro where I grew up. My home is a little cabin I share with my sweetheart, Sascha, and part-time with his son, Dillon. We have a cat named Yosemite or Yo-Yo for short. Our cabin is nestled among beautiful surroundings and is heated with fire. It's magical. I commute to Easthampton, Massachusetts several times a week where I'm going to school for massage therapy.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe humans are born basically "good". Sometimes when people have been overwhelmed with the many injustices of the world, they form a hard shell around their hearts and are less able to be kind with themselves and others. I try to be understanding of why people are the way they are and empathetic towards others' experience of life. Sometimes I am better at this than at other times. I am not perfect. No one is perfect.

Thus far my couch surfing experiences have been unrelated to this website (as I am such a new member) but those are stories for when you get to know me better...

兴趣

I have varied creative endeavors but my focus on one at any given time happens cyclically: Collage, photography, painting, drawing, constructing mobiles. More recently I've been making a lot of jewelry, some of which I hope to sell. I have loved to dance for as long as I can remember. I haven't taken classes in awhile but I find many opportunities to dance whether it's alone in my living room or out with friends. I love to be out in nature and try to be often (admittedly, I could try harder). I love to eat good food. I drink lots of tea and some coffee. I like to watch movies. I like to read. I don't like writing about myself and describing my interests...

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

One of my most incredible and powerful experiences was witnessing the sacred ceremony of a Sun Dance while staying on the Pine Ridge Lakota reservation in South Dakota. I've made two trips to The Rez and both times were unforgettable.
