About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To finish my Doctorate in music

ABOUT ME

I live my life by "You Look Nice Today" A Journal of Emotional Hygiene. Consequently, I have an uncontrollable level of candor and seemingly non-stop tsunami of profanity.

In high school I drove a VW Vanagon with vanity plates that read "OpenWyd." But lets put it into context. My dad's a dentist. Nonetheless I was not deterred from pulling up to a herd of foxy ladies (either wild or domestic) and gesturing to the vanity plates with a look of pride.

I'm a big fan of sustainable farming practices such as Permaculture. http://www.veoh.com/watch/v20678727GXjcx5R

I love birkenstocks, cardigans and sweater vests. Wear all three and you can't be out of fashion any day of the week.

When it comes to wine and beer I belong to a snobbish milieu. You are correct, I've already judged you. Life is too short, drink good beer and wine!

Music, Movies, and Books

Walden, Oliver Twist, Leaves of Grass, Poetry by Mary Oliver

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have traveled a lot and lived different places for my occupation. That is the great thing about being a musician. Unfortunately I sometimes never feel like I've settled down in any one place longer than a couple years. I do a lot of hiking and backpacking when I can. Visited most of the major national parks!
