Well, an easy going traveller, I want to see every place in the world and experience every type of travelling. Even going to a new place in my neghbourhood gives me pleasant chills. For me every place has its own charm and I want to discover it. Travelling is not an activity, it is a state of mind, you can feel like an explorer at any time and it is the best feeling in the world.
Otherwise, I am a mathematician, I live in Germany, I collect stories and from time to time write them into travelogues.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I want to discover new places, and the best way to discover the places is to meet the people and hear some stories. Meeting the people is always a highlight of the trip; everyone has such nice stories and hearing them one can actually touch the colourful intricacy of our amazing world.

Interests

I love Every Little Thing related to travelling, geography and maps. Map-drawing, map-making, researching maps... Looking for weird places and curious stories around the world and collecting them. Myths, legends, sagas. Sciences, math problems,number theory. Jumping from one Wikipedia article to another until I completely change my focus. Mayans, Inca, other ancient civilizations, history in general. Animals, cats, rabbits, hippos, the amazing world of nature. Architecture. Castles, Oh, how I love castles. Archeology. Watching football. Playing it, too. Watching obscure sports which noone has ever heard of. SF, Fantasy. Everything else:)

Music, Movies, and Books

I can blabber a lot here, but I don't want to deprive the visitors of my profile of some time to read an actual book instead of my thousands of reading and movie prefereces:) Just a summary: I like most movies, I have read a lot of books (really a lot), I am very new to music and I am very, very open-minded towards anything new.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I went to visit two nuraghes in Sardinia. Don't know what a Nuraghe is? Well, nobody actually knows and the information on the matters is pretty scarce, especially in non-Italian language, but basically very old stone towers with unknown purpose on hills around the island. And I went to visit two all by myself, crossing fields and obstacles and fences and I felt like an archeologist discovering the secret temple of an ancient civilization.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Lots of stories! Funny ones, crazy ones, interesting ones; even some darker ones if someone is too much into that. Every trip is a myriad of stories and I have travelled a lot, met many interesting people and collected a lot of those stories and I will gladly share them with anyone interested.
