I love traveling and meeting new people, and I've been fortunate to have visited some really exciting places in the world. I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer (2017-2018) in Sierra Leone. Prior to that I volunteered yearly, primarily with Habitat for Humanity in places such as Mexico, Argentina, Zambia, Thailand (3x), Ethiopia, Costa Rica, Trinidad and Tobago, Boston, San Diego and New Orleans. I've also traveled to Liberia, Uruguay, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Indonesia (Bali), Laos, India, and Nicaragua. The very best part of my travel is getting to know local cultures and people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Travel, non-fiction, history are my go-to books. I read at least a book a week on average (72 read in 2017, 100 read in 2018), and am always looking for good recommendations. Music is all over the place with influence from 80s pop to 90s rock and grunge to a mellow mix for relaxing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Flown in a fighter jet and piloted a barrel roll. Listened to whales calling each other while scuba diving near Honolulu (also saw a pod of dolphins swim by while underwater). Pet lions. Swam with sharks. Jumped out of a couple of planes. Lived in a remote village for 18 months with no water or electricity.
