我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was on Hospitality Club and Couchsurfing for a bunch of years, hosting more people than surfing myself (mostly due to bad planning :). I never had a bad experience, but a lot of very interesting ones. I have made several lasting friendships. I would like to attend more camps and meetups!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted a few people, mostly in South Africa and surfed a few couches (Lilongwe, Reykjavik, Istanbul and Maseru). I hope to surf more of them in the future!

I know a little about a lot. I like cooking, crafts and outdoor life. I also have a sudden need to learn a lot about how to renovate an old house.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

- Actually making myself understood in a new language like picking up a joke in Xhosa, or being told not to be so picky by a Russian woman selling sugar buns. That is always an awesome moment.
- Being in a large crowd of people marching for a common cause that I share. The force of the wills of thousands at the same moment can stir the air.
- Meeting someone I immediately connect with, how we can be closer to certain people after a few minutes than to certain others after many years.
