I moved to Vancouver 5 years ago after living in Jasper National Park in the Rocky mountains.

When I first lived there in 2013, I had never traveled before. After meeting many travelers from all over the country, it ignited a passion for traveling that I didn't know I had in me.

I was born in Sri Lanka. Around elementary school age, my family moved to Montreal in Canada. I have lived in every province from Quebec to British Columbia and can provide suggestions on great places to visit across the country.

I plan on moving to France for 1-2 years on a working holiday visa in November and it would be cool if I could provide guide of Vancouver for travelers here that I might meet again in Europe when I am living there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We hosted my roomate's friends while I was living in Jasper in our couch. It was a great experience and I got to meet pretty cool people, some of whom I'm still friends with today.

I like all sorts of music from all over the world but have always liked hip hop, rock, soul and Tamil music. Recent books that I've read in the last year is High Mountains of Portugal, No Country For Old Men and Gone Girl.

Teach, Learn, Share

Learning: writing fiction, Spanish, drawing, guitar and cooking

Teach/offer: tours of Vancouver and provide information about traveling in Canada but especially the Rocky Mountains from my past work experience at Parks Canada, the organization that manages the national parks in the country.
