I am Viktor, a 21 y.o. international student from Ukraine! I am a very open-minded and positive person! I study machine learning and emotions in the US but each semester I do a semester abroad in a new country (currently, the UK)! I've lived in around 10 countries across 4 continents. I am a fun person interested in topics from AI to music to a random netflix show to social impact assessment, so I am sure we will have things to discuss!

I love meaningful conversations, animals, walks in the city, languages, cultures, food, and traveling!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am here to meet new people and explore new places! I CSed in Bratislava before, and I've really enjoyed it as it helped me get immersed in the city and get to know much more about local cultures. I hope to do the same in more places around the world in the upcoming years, to meet more people, and learn about more cities!

Interests

I can play piano and know most of the ballroom dances, but I am not doing either of those professionally. I study Artificial Intelligence and Neuroscience at university. I also like to talk about languages and am currently learning French!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a fan of various rock bands like Placebo and 30 Seconds to Mars. I also like listening to French pop and alternative Ukrainian music.

I don't watch lots of movies but I tend to enjoy them a lot! Some fav shows are Mr. Robot, Friends, the Bing Bang Theory, Rick & Morty, and Fairy Tale. Out of the movies, the recent ones that come to mind are Aftersun, My Thoughts Are Silent, Homeward, Dune, and The Society of The Snow. I've come to like modern Ukrainian films a lot recently!

I got into reading a few years ago, and I really liked The Shadow of The Wind by Zafon, The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Kunderas, and Internat by Zhadan!

Watched the World Cup 2022 football match translations in Buenos Aires and celebrated the victory with the Argentinians!
