One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2015 I´ve gone to the US for a year as an exchange student. I learned so much about myself and others and really got a deep inside look in the American culture. I experienced stereotypes which are certainly very alive and figured out what people on the other side of the globe think about Germans. Your own perception of your national identity gets challenged and since the US is such a diverse country it´s exciting to see how the opinions about your home country divers from each other (even though they have never left the US one day of their life)

I learned so much about the hosting and being hosted experience and I would love to see different styles of this unique way to make friends.
