About Me
Hi, I'm Tori :)
Ukrainian by origin, living in Italy for 6 years.
Working for a humanitarian agency, but getting fired soon :)
I love new people and new experiences. Currently in a bit of messy phase of life, and trying to understand whether I want to go back home or how does one even make a decision to leave forever? Would love to have some talks about it.
In travels, I am rather a spontaneous type, and prefer following the flow. I am rather easily engaged into weird activities, and I appreciate getting to know the humans.
I am interested in psychology and spirituality, trying to get in touch with myself, also through other people.

Good requests guide:
1. If you just start and don't have reviews yet, ask some friends-surfers to write you at least a personal review
2. Read the house rules of the person you're trying to reach
3. Make your request a bit more personal by, at least, adding a recipient's name to the message, and at maximum writing some bonding points you could've noticed from the profile description.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to share experiences, and meet with locals to know more about people lives in different places. I guess I am too nosy, but also I want to get some inspiration and references of how the lives can be, what brings joy and fulfilment and how the destinies turn.
After my first Couchsurfing trip to Italy in 2019, I decided to move to this country, something I've never even been thinking of. And it was an incredibly valuable experience for me, with the chain of events I could've never predicted.
Now as I finally have my own place, I am super happy to welcome people in my life. You impress me, you inspire me, and you change me one way or another, and I feel my life more rich and fun this way.
I also don't mind being a support to someone in the complex times, so if you need a place to stay even for a night - text me.
If you have any emergency in Rome, you need some guidance or an italian speaker, and I'm not responding on CS, contact me on insta @tori.ptaha

Music, Movies, and Books
I love music from all over the world, particularly that one where you can hear that people played it. I love the combo of modern music with native instruments.
Currenly dreaming of the concerts of: Aurora, Wardruna, Heilung, Latexfauna.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spontaneously backpacking for one month in Sicily in the middle of Covid during Christmas and the New Year.
Hosted 8 people at the same time. Got the driving licence in Italy! (super proud of the last one, since I've never imagined myself driving ever, left alone in such a messy place, and learning it all in Italian)
Teach, Learn, Share
Business (especially strategy and marketing), psychology (deep self-exploration), oil painting, Woodburn
What I Can Share with Hosts
Any household help you need, sharing a meal and some good jokes, a company for whatever activity you've been wanting to do, some small home repair and organizing.
