Über mich
Hi! I've grown up in the former capital of Kazakhstan - Almaty. It's a beautiful city surrounded by mountains.
I'm fond of travelling and have visited almos all famous places around Thailand.
My lifestyle is largely influenced by Yoga principles.
I'm vegetarian (I can eat eggs and dairy products).
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
Couchsurfing is one of the best ways to meet people from other cultures.
It's a great tool to practice the language which you learn by accepting guests from countries, speaking that language.
Couchsurfing for me is not only staying for free at somebody's house. It's an opportunity to know other cultures from inside.
Interessen
Hiking in our beautiful mountains can be challenging, but it worth every effort.
I've travelled all around Thailand, but I hardly know my own country. I would like to travel around Kazakhstan and Russia.
Yoga is not the morning exercises or stretching, but the whole lifestyle for me.
Cycling culture is fast-growing in Kazakhstan now. It's a pleasure to be a part of this culture. I am a commuter cyclist during warm seasons. I don't have any special sport achievements, I just enjoy cycling.
Recently I've acquired the taste to running. Up to now, 10 km. is a comfortable distance for me, but I'm aimed at developing.

Musik, Filme und Bücher
Rock mainly, but I'm not as rigid in my musical preferances as I used to be (getting old, simingly).
I don't read much now. Probably it's a result of profdeformation: you become written translator, read a lot due to work necessities, and then you stop reading at all for enjoyment. But I used to be a bookworm in childhood. My favorite books: fantasy.
Movies depend on the mood. It can be a melodram in a rainy cold day, a stupid comedy in the evening or something big and meaningful about life, when I'm patient enough to watch it and think it over again and again.
Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
Climbed the Komsomol Peak - 4376 meters
Started doing Yoga practices and became a vegetarian.
Passed CELTA course and was teaching English in a Thai school for one year.
Lehren, lernen, teilen
I'm open to share all my knowledge.
Probably, I can be helpful in hiking, getting around the city, finding discounts and rentals.
I can cook simple Russian cuisine. In return, I would be glad to learn new recipes.
Also, I would be happy to practice English. If you speak German or Japanese, it's adorable for me to listen to it, thought, I don't understand much yet.
If you need any information about travelling in Thailand, I'm a storehouse of information and can talk about it for hours in non-stop mode.
Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann
My couch, which is located in a separate spacious room.
I share my kitchen, bathroom and my dwelling space in general with my guests. It's not easy for an introvert like me. But the curiosity wins and I let people into my flat again and again.
I can share my free time, but if you are tired and unwilling to communicate, please, tell me about it and I will leave you along.
I'm not ready to share my cat, but he is even more curious than me, so he will give you a big bunch of his attention. Allergics - beware!
