About Me

Live a fulfilling 20s

I'm living in San Francisco working for a Scandinavian design firm. The most interesting place that I've lived was on an island off the coast of Maine where I worked as a project manager doing offshore lighthouse restoration. Everything about it was as incredible as it sounds, including taking a boat to work everyday. That summer I taught a summer class on sustainability, ecology, and green technology in Bar Harbor, Maine.

I'm in the home stretch of getting my Master's (graduating in December). I graduated with my bachelor's from the College of Charleston and studied Historic Preservation and Art History. I'm a poly-sci junkie, greenie, an avid Archer enthusiast, and I'm a freak for boating and being out on the water.

I'm an Irish citizen and one of 6 siblings. Almost all of my family lives in Ireland, but the one's that live over on this side live in Canada and New York.

I have this page because I thoroughly enjoy meeting new people and exchanging experiences and stories. I've have had great experiences with CS in the past. I'm usually up to host people on a couch or a spare bed at my place, but also want to opportunity to find some new couches anywhere I find myself wanting to go next.

I'm an open, easy going, adventurous, spontaneous, not hard-to-please guy, and I'm always up to show people where I'm from.

Live every day like it's your last. Because one day, it will be.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swam in the Atlantic and the Pacific in the same day without getting on a plane. And without any help from Superman.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been a lobsterman for 11 years as a summer job off the coast of Maine;
I've volunteered across China;
I've worked on lighthouses off the coast in Maine
I use to be a kayak instructor and have had my boating license since I was 12. I've had more jobs that relate to boats than not.

And I would want to learn about anything really. Everyone has unique stories they could share, it's just a matter of getting them out!
