About Me
Life Goals:
Pushing the boundaries of what I know, willing to immerse myself and explore all the cultures that the world has to offer.
I am currently in India for 4 months. My aim was to discover my ancestral state of Gujarat whilst also improving my not-so-good Gujarati skills. 3 months later and I am now in Goa for 5 weeks! It would be great to hang out with fun and friendly people in this paradise!
About me:
I'm adventurous, fun and always up for a good time. I'm really keen to learn about the world and different cultures. I would say that I have been lucky enough to travel to various places in the world, whether it be on music tours, doing charity work or backpacking!
My interests are diverse and varied. I am a classically trained flautist, with music having played a massive part of my life so far. It has taken me to some incredible places in Europe, to underground jazz bars in Berlin to centuries old churches in the small towns of rural Spain. I also enjoy sports and keeping fit: I have moved from a regular gym routine to home workouts. I like to keep up to date with (and occasionally watch) Football, Cricket, Golf and Formula 1.
I am interested in going off the "beaten path" and discovering some of the real hidden beauties that places away from home have to offer. My ten year plan is to visit all of the major cities and countries in Europe.
I went travelling with my good friend Jonas in June 2014 (we interrailed around Europe for 35 days). In September 2018 I successfully hitchhiked all the way from the UK to Munich, Germany to meet Jonas for Oktoberfest. The journey was incredible and I got to meet so many cool people along the way.
September to December 2017 saw me backpacking around SE Asia for 3 months with my sister and cousin. This proved to be such an eye-opening and enriching experience that I would encourage anyone with siblings or a best friend to do.
April 2018 was spent backpacking around Turkey for 1 month.
I have spent about 12 months living and working in the USA, which was a truly extraordinary experience.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My official couchsurfing experiences are minimal at the moment, but hopefully soon that will all change! I hope to improve my language skills as well as discover new cultures.
During my hitchhiking trip I managed to successfully surf on 3 people's couches after meeting them in a bar or by being picked up by them for a ride. The kindness of people is a real treasure and something which I am eternally grateful for.
One day, once I am settled with my own place in the future I want to open my home to fellow couchsurfers wanting to explore the area that I'm living in.
Interests
My interests are varied as they come. I know a little about a lot (and a lot about a little) so chances are we'll definitely have something in common :)
