Overview
About Me
I moved to Tarbes few months ago so this place is still new to me. I'm an engineer in train industry trying to find a way to make my life and carrer have a positive impact on society, particularly on the environment.
Since I just moved my flat isn't very comfy yet but I have a mattress on the floor and a warm shower for you. I like to cook for people and I would be glad to discover the city and the Pyrénées a little more with new people!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Last year I travelled through Northern Europe and I used Couchsurfing a lot. I spent great times with a variety of hosts. That helped me meet nice people, discover the places I visited with very interesting insights and travel for cheap. Now I hope I can give back to travellers what I received.
I want to meet more people, to learn more of other cultures.
Interests
I feel very concerned by nature preservation and I keep that in mind when I travel, when I buy food and things, etc.
I studied mechanics and electronics engineering. I'm also interested in other scientific and technical fields such as programming and computer science.
Whereas I don't listen much music, I sing all the time, wich bothered a little bit my former colleagues in the open space. I used to do contemporary dance but a knees issue forced me to stop when I was 17. However I still like to dance!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm interested in movies which make think about the future, society or technology, specially science fiction. For example: Interstellar, I robot, Black Swann, V for Vendetta...
I don't listen to much music but here are some music artists I like: Queen, Adele, LP, Sia, Muse, Indochine, Mylène Farmer, Gaëtan Roussel, Christine and the Queens, Toto, Téléphone...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
That last travel to Scandinvia of course! I did this six-month trip all by myself in 2021-2022, moving only with bus, trains, ferries and hitchhiking.
I hitchhiked in Sweden between Umeå and Luleå (260 km), in January, waiting hours by -13°C.
I planned to visit the North Cape for two days. I ended up working there as a receptionist at Nordkapphallen for six weeks in the winter during my trip, and five more months in the next summer! I'd never worked in tourism before. There was a bunch of awesome people working there!
I studied 5 month in Valparaíso in Chile in 2013. It was a great experience! Not for the classes (which I can't remember to be honest) but for the room-mates and the friends I met there and the places I visited. In addition of Valparaíso, I trekked for 5 days in the Paine Montains in Patagonia and I visited San Pedro de Atacama in the desert.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach about science, computers, electronics, mechanics, mathematics... and of course about French culture.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook vegetarian meals. But don't dream: I'm far from being a chef.
It would be great if we can hike or go out together.
