I'm an active person who is always eager to travel more, experience more, and learn more. In my student time I was active in an international student association, organizing exchanges in greater Europe. I picked up a love for the classical world and the Italian language, but also spent time in Eastern Europe. Five years ago I've obtained an MBA qualification with a specialization in data, which I celebrated with a 6 month sabbatical leave travelling on my motorcycle from Amsterdam to Nepal. I lived for a year in Hamburg with my ex girlfriend and am living in Slovakia now on a work assignment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When travelling with the international student organization, the great thing was that you always had contact with local student who would show you their culture, which was just so much better than being an agnostic tourist. I would love to obtain similar experiences using couchsurfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have very broad taste in music, listening to dance, hip-hop and jazz, but I don't listen often. Media-wise I prefer movies and books. My favourite books are: Russian literature such as The Idiot by Dostojevski; Dutch literature such as Ontdekking van de Hemel by Mulisch, books about innovation (such as Musk by Vance, or The Rational Optimist by Ridley), and others such as Women by Bukowski.
