About Me

I am quite the opposite of serious person.
I like smiling and based on the reviews, people like my smile :)
I am not a party person, love chatting among 2-3 person and talk about things that is meaning. Exchanging ideas and perspectives on things with people from different cultural background is my favorite thing! (Sorry I am not good at surface, small talks) As the philosophy says, inter-locutions bring us closer to truth. (I am definitely not a nerd)
Somehow in recent year I am becoming more and more indulged in arts (too noob to create arts but fascinated when appreciating it)
I boast myself as a burger gourmet. Searching for the best burger in each city is the mission I can never reject. Can never say no to a burger (unless it is fast food chain, sorry McDonald's, no offence, your premiere burger is good).
I like drinking, in a way small drinks make me open up, if not I can be shy???
Favorite wine is Riesling. Favorite beer so far is Asahi Super Dry.
I like cats, unfortunately never have the chance to own one :(

I love photography! Always wants to capture the city landscape and unique moments on streets. Recently want to pick up film photography again!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It is the first time on Couchsurfing, not very experienced yet.
I made friends via a lot of trips at youth hostels, and each of them bring very unique memories to each trip, those memories somehow are the most vivid, non-forgeting! But making friends at youth hostel is somewhat a bit of luck based, so I'm thinking, why not Couchsurfing ---> encounter guranteed! Will get to have more experience and understands about a person's life in a distant land!
Unfortunately my living conditions in Singapore doesn't allow me to be a host, but I will start hosting as soon as I get to have enough space!

Music, Movies, and Books

Country folk music, Japanese songs, sometimes Bob Marley, recently punk rock, all time favorite is Paramore!
But willing to know more about other music genres and learn to appreciate them!

I like sci-fi and crime and Japanese anime movies, basically movies that is dark and deep and also movies that have good cinemagraphy (like Wes Anderson)
Fan of Quentin Tarantino. Rarely watch romance but Woody Allen and Makoto Shinkai are exceptions😉
I LOVE Ghost in the Shell , EVA, Akira.

I have read quite some Chinese book you probably have never heard about. The novel that I have the most fun will be "hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy". That whole series is just hilarious! I like the writing style of Haruki Murakami.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Two hours after I have just arrived in Europe for the first time in my life, I managed to lose my whole backpack😲

Another time I lost my wallet with all the money and bankcard inside while I was at a small town inside mountain, all I am left with is 10$ worth of Indonesian Rupiah. And I traveled to another two different cities for two days with no money or wallet and made it back in Singapore.

I have built with a team a man carrying flying machine for National Geographics TV show. We appeared in the show! 😆 and we didn't kill the pilot😎.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you the criteria to critique a good burger🍔!
I can teach USEFUL words in Chinese and knowledge about all the weird food that can be edible and even delicious.

Would love to learn about local people's life and their perspective on things (. Understand their culture and exchange inspirations and ideas!

Share? Well, I grow up in a communist country, sharing is a must🤣, especially when it comes to 🍻🍻 and stories

Also, willing to share my insights about photography, arts, designs, philosophy and religions (only if you are interested ;)))
