ABOUT ME

I am a battleship - slow moving but very focused on a mission. I enjoy reading, swimming, working out and traveling. I'm originally from New York, living in Prague, Czech Republic, and I'm most interested in seeing more of the world and meeting people of various backgrounds and cultures.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life because I've always assumed that it's more fun than being dead.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For me, traveling is all about meeting people, hanging out, talking, and having fun. Ideally I would travel often, but realistically I have to work. So, I host frequently. It's all the fun of traveling without having to leave home! Sometimes I go to the events.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Although I've couchsurfed across America, I'm actually more of a host. Since I've joined, I haven't had one bad experience, and to be honest...it's a little disappointing. You'd think by now, someone would do something despicable to me or my home, but...NOTHING, only cool people here. Who knew?

I'm up for just about anything. I spend my free time learning Czech, listening to music, reading, swimming, exercising, and trying not to think about my business.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I'm a forgetful entertainment lover. Let me explain. My favorite songs, movies, and books are the ones I have in recent memory. I never read books more than once or watch movies more than twice, but I play my favorite songs until I get tired of them. Here are some of the ones in recent memory: Books; The Selfish Gene, The Elegant Universe. Music: Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty,CCR, Interpol, and Mellowdrone. Movies: 300, Snatch, Fight Club, Star Wars

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I pulled a guy out of a Mack truck on its side, saving his life, and then later bragging about it on the couchsurfing website under the section labeled "Amazing thing done/seen"

Lehren, lernen, teilen

Okay, here's what I've learned so far in life: 1) If you're not selfish, a glutton, or a thief, you get to keep the chocolate factory at the end 2) Darth Vader is Luke's father, and 3) It's not a good idea to feed a mogwai after mid-night.
