Hi, you can call me Suly for short :)

I am from Jakarta, Indonesia. I was graduated from Psychology major and currently pursuing Master at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam majoring in Media and Business Programme.

I have also been working in a newspaper company called KOMPAS Daily Newspaper from Indonesia for the past eight years. I am passionate in people and media, especially in learning about design thinking, community engagement, and social entrepreneurship.

I love to travel and go to places that amaze me with their nature and local culture. Meet and interact with locals have also been my purpose as we will learn a lot from the interaction, also it helps me develop my interpersonal skill and improving my English.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I am looking forward to meeting new people, interact with the host, and also gain information that only the local's would have known. Couchsurfing enables that by maybe cooking each other's local food or sharing good conversation and knowledge about each others' country.

Couchsurfing enables traveleres to keep exploring the world as they possibly can. Moreover, I think that the fact you can generate new friends from different part of the world is priceless. It is just something you cannot put a price tag on!

Last but not least, I think that sharing is indeed a new currency!

I think the most amazing I've done is being a solo traveler! I need to plan things ahead, decision-making process, and calculating budget. The processes have made me realized that life is indeed about choosing option and managing expectation.
