About Me

I'm an anthropology student originally from Brazil who has lived in several countries and is in love with learning new languages, cultures and history. I'm also deeply interested in politics, sociology and gender studies. I love nature and good food and am always ready to share everything I have to offer with others! I'm actually doing a MA in Intercultural Mediation in France.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I'd like to be able to explore new places and cultures without falling into the consumerist touristic game. I want to meet authentic people for authentic experiences and human exchanges, not just go to places, consume and leave. Naturally, I'd love to provide such experiences to others as well.

Interests

At the moment, I'm particularly focused in the study of Marxism and Gender Studies.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm extremely eclectic music-wise, but I tend to be really picky when it comes to commercial music. When it comes to films, I tend to prefer historic movies. I'm no longer so interested in fantasy :/ Literature wise, it's the same thing. I have been enjoying much more books about history and sociology/gender studies/marxism than fiction, but it hasn't always been like that and probably won't stay like that forever. Oh, I LOVE recipe books!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going berry and mushroom picking in a Swedish forest for a whole day and then coming back home and making a meal out of everything I gathered. Enjoying more than 48 hours of walking around, talking to people and beaches in two different countries without sleep. Getting married in secret and having a very special surprise party with friends afterwards.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think these are too subjective and circunstantial to answer, why pre-define them? Let's leave possibilities open! :)
