About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To build the perfect Genki-Dama.
ABOUT ME
I'm a bit of an introvert at first but gentle, kind and open-minded, and very talkative after a certain degree of intimacy.
I tend to stand up for what I believe and usually love a good debate.
I started my undergraduate studies in Computer Engineering at the State University of Campinas, back in Brazil, and I'm currently enrolled in an exchange program with Télécom ParisTech, so I can obtain both diplomas by the end of my graduation.
I've been living in Paris for the last year and a half and up until now I'm enjoying Europe.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Up until now, I don't participate (hopefully this will change before the end of the world).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't yet hosted nor surfed, since I'm a newcomer, but I'd most certainly like to be able to host as many people as possible and if the budget and the time allow it, surf as many couches as possible too.
Interests
Technology, science, music, computer games. And I'd never say no to cold beer and good conversation around a small table at the randomest, smallest bar on Earth.
My main interests inside my field of expertise are computer networks, GPGPU, numerical simulations and artificial intelligence (mainly natural language processing, multi-agent systems and cognition). I hope to someday be able to apply all of these knowledge into the perfect game engine.
Other than that, I'm fairly good with languages (or so do I believe), and I'd love to learn as many of them as possible.
I've studied english for quite a long time, and my experience in Paris made me learn french the hardcore way. I've also taken four months of German classes and a year and a half of Japanese lessons (although I can't remember most of it).
Anyway, I'm mostly interested in whatever you can make SOUND or LOOK interesting to me at the moment. Pick a topic and sell me your beliefs.

Music, Movies, and Books
"English, motherfucker. Do you speak it?!" -- Jules Winnfield @ Pulp Fiction
"The first rule of Fight Club is: you do not talk about Fight Club. The second rule of Fight Club is: you DO NOT talk about Fight Club!" -- Tyler Durden @ Fight Club
"Remember Red, hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies." -- Andy Dufresne @ The Shawshank Redemption
"Do you leave a light on after bedtime? Because I get a little scared in the dark sometimes. If it's a strange place." -- John Coffey @ The Green Mile
Music:
Anything that does sound a bit musical.
Books:
I don't read as musch as I'd like to, because I usually get distracted by flying mosquitoes, but whenever I can get to finish a book, it's worth it. I can't really think of any favorites, though. Perhaps "Dom Casmurro", by a brazilian writer called "Machado de Assis".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Bungee-jumping from a crane and skiing at the alps.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you basic survival Portuguese, and if you're surfing my couch in Paris, I can help you through the basics of French.
I'd love to learn italian, japanese, german, latin (yes, latin), russian, greek and spanish.
Other than languages, I like to learn constantly, especially anything related to my field of expertise.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom
Countries I’ve Lived In
Brazil, France
