ABOUT ME

We are a young couple who have recently moved to Adelaide. We are still getting to know our new home, city and state, as we previously spent our whole lives in Tasmania we don't know much about South Australia! We travelled around Europe for 5 months in 2010, backpacking, exploring and couchsurfing, which was loads of fun. We've caught the travel bug and can't wait to go back!
Nick is studying small business management in his limited spare time and I am studying social sciences. Nick loves to play the guitar and piano, and sing and write songs, as well as build things, draw, and spoil me haha. I am interested in psychology, sociology and natural medicine, I love to tell people a bit too much what is good for them and what's not haha I like to play the saxophone and piano too, sew clothes, cook experimental dishes, and waste hours on end with my head in a book.

PHILOSOPHY

Hmmm philosophy? Not sure about that... But we think life should be interesting! So we try to fill it with interesting things - hobbies, travels, jokes, weird things haha. We are trusthworthy and reliable, fairly quiet I suppose, love to meet interesting people none the less, and have caught the travel bug and love to experience other cultures and countries. We'll clean up after ourselves, won't break your stuff, will make strange concoctions in the kitchen that you are welcome to try if you dare, Nick is a jack of all trades and will help you fix something in the house if you like, as well as draw you an amusing charicature of yourself, I can also mend your clothes if you have a sewing machine haha... I think I'm trying to convince you that you won't mind having us around?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have technically couchsurfed all over Germany (not through this website) with friends and family of a friend of ours, which was great fun, so then we decided to do it through here with complete strangers - and that's been fun too! We have hosted a couple of times which was great, and hope to learn the art of time management a bit better so we have time to host some more!

Too many to possibly name. Anything and everything, with the exception of country music... I (Jess) love to read novels by Bryce Courtenay and stories set in the old days. We both recently discovered the "Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging" series which we found quite hilarious! Nick likes boy movies (violence, vampires, superheroes, etc) and I prefer comedies.

I have played the saxophone for 10 years and used to teach... So if you happen to have one lying around and really want to learn, I can help you out haha. Nick can also tell you a thing or two about electrical wiring, and can play the guitar and sing songs to you!
