About Me

I'm a student who has a love for travel and backpacking. My ultimate goal being to travel to every country in the world. My Instagram page 'thesekoproject'.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing so I could meet new people who could possibly tell me about their own country and their own story in general. I like the intimate aspect of it and as a preferred solo traveller sometimes you need the company.

Interests

I've been obsessed with travel ever since I visited Zambia on a charity project trip. I have a passion to visit every country in the world and even though I know this will be tough, I'm willing to dedicate my life to it so that I can have something to strive towards in my life.Travel inspires me to do things I could have never thought of doing and it also helps leave potential prejudices at the door. I've had incredible experiences on this app and for me it's the most authentic way to travel.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love RnB and Soul music, it's the music that really gets to my heart and soul. I love to read bit fiction and non-fiction with my favourite books being A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini and One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez. I probably wouldn't call myself the biggest movie buff in the world, but when I travel I love to indulge in a solid Netflix movie of choice.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen the life of the Zambian people who live in the shanty towns on the outskirts of Lusaka aswell as the local people who dedicate their lives to help the people around them. There are some truly unsung heroes. A real eye opening experience.
I've now completed two major trips, one in the Balkans where I visited 6 of the countries in the area.
Another one was in South East Asia where I had my first venture into the Asian continent, visiting 6 more countries.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to talk to people and make new friends, I'm really interested in learning about the cultures in different countries. I'm not a great cook but I could definitely offer a meal in return if that's what people would want haha. Do so at your own risk though 😅.
