ABOUT ME

I guess I'm as sociable and curious as they come. Curious to a fault, even: I never know when to stop learning about new things so my knowledge is scattered all over the place :) Ever heard of Wikipedia Freefall? That's my life.
I grew up and studied in France and England and studied with people from all over, and I don't like being in a monocultural group ;)
Oh, and I like dry wit. My profile might not make that come across.
I've never tried to be different, but I've never followed or felt a part of a group or trend, either.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can meet people who want to hang out and/or discover bits of Paris, and share stories.
Unfortunately my place is unequipped to host anyone :(
I'll gladly answer any questions regarding life or stays in Paris, and I can give advice on how to learn French.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Halloween party on a boat where I met a great friend, traveled to Grenoble and met a Couchsurfer who generously hosted us for a few hours, Hosted by a couchsurfer in Bernin (close to Grenoble) for 4 days, who was possibly one of the kindest people I've met :)

Interests

Going out, meeting new people who've lived completely different lives, learning a new language for the hell of it. Ok I've only done that last one once, but still...
I'd like to visit at least one completely new country every year from now on.

Music, Movies, and Books

Hard Rock & Classical Music.
Pretty wide taste in movies.
And I'm currently wading through all the Science-Fiction books I inherited from my grandfather. Some of it very good, some of it hyperbolically bad. As if done on purpose...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I couldn't say. A lot of it has to do with the emotional state you're in when you're there. Occasionally I'll see something completely random and trivial which I'll find important and moving, for some reason, but it drifts away with time.

Teach, Learn, Share

Yes, yes and yes.
I'm interested in nearly everything, so always willing to learn and share. I can teach English (give tips and explain stuff - if you want me to), since it's my job, and probably French. Don't know what else I could teach... I've always had too much of a "jack of all trades" approach with knowledge to feel comfortable pretending to be an expert.
