my Fragile, our Fragile, is looking for a shelter, a place to stay. He needs help, so I do it, we look together for a refuge.

ABOUT ME

I am a sculptress and video artist-performer and pastry chef. I work with iron, wood, recycled materials, soil, plastic, I work with every component that can be modified by the hands and the time.
I try to transform rubbles, scraps, forgotten elements, in parts of a perfect little world, trying to express the getaway desire and the isolation need that everybody of us feel.
I'm vegan.

I recover ruins memories from fragments of metropolitan inputs through the eye of "Fragile", the link between all my art works. Fragile is a little iron man, I bring me with me all the time, everywhere I go, since 2005. Ideally he represent a survivor of the earthquake-seaquacke that in 1908 destroyed completelly the city of Messina, my city, causing 120.000 people death: the most tragic natural catastrophe of all time in Europe.
So I try to transform and assemble these ruins in an ideal, ancestral world, a place in the middle between the desire to escape and the need of isolation.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live artistically, for me this means try to put myself at the disposal of life, abandoning myself to it. I think that only in this way it's possible to cooperate, to create a balance feeling, with the universe.

I just started to use it, but I saw my brother meeting a lot of nice and interesting people, so I'm looking forward to!!!!

Interests

Video Art, Sculpture, Play drums, guitar, piano, play every music and every instruments is possible to play! Cook italian tasty food for my friends and enjoy it in a peaceful and wonderful atmospheare. I think food is culture. I think vegan is better.
I like reading a lot, travelling in new places and taking the time to watch the landscapes.
