My name is Violeta, I’m 34 years old and originally from Lithuania. After a few years of focusing on work and routine, I decided to take a little pause in my career and give myself time to breathe, explore, and reconnect with the things that truly make me happy. Traveling feels like the best way to clear my mind, get inspired, and meet people with different stories and perspectives.

I would describe myself as an open-minded, honest and easygoing person. I really enjoy deep and meaningful conversations, but also love lighthearted chats and laughter. I believe that a genuine smile when you meet someone new can change everything.

Over the years, I’ve had quite a few solo trips – I love the freedom and self-discovery that comes with traveling alone. My favorite country so far is Italy – for its food, history, landscapes, and the way people enjoy life. Still, I’m always curious to explore new places and see them through the eyes of locals.

What I love most in life is being close to nature – whether it’s hiking in the mountains, walking by the sea, or just enjoying a quiet park in the city. Books and different forms of art also help me recharge, and I often find inspiration in small, simple moments. I’m curious by nature and love to learn about other cultures, languages and traditions.

Animals have a special place in my heart – especially dogs! One of my biggest dreams is to have a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever one day (for me, they are the perfect mix of energy, playfulness and gentleness).

What I hope to get from Couchsurfing is not only discovering new places but also creating genuine connections with people. I believe that every person we meet brings something valuable – a new story, a new idea, a new way of looking at life.

What I can share
I would be happy to share stories from my travels, cook a simple Lithuanian meal, or just have a relaxed evening chatting over a glass of wine. I can also give a few tips about exploring Lithuania if you ever plan to visit. And if you’re a dog person too, we’ll definitely have plenty to talk about!
