ABOUT ME

I'm a very friendly person who lives life passionately. I can see the beauty of even the smallest and simplest things, like a smell or the sensation of an early sunshine on my face.
I like travelling, meeting new people, discovering new places, tastes, smells, feelings...
I'm very sensitive and I usually sense a lot of what is going on around me.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm naive enough to still believe that if everyone would do his part, we could change the world...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My husband and I try to help as many people as we can, either with information, a couch or whatever else they need. And we always treat our guests in the same way we'd like to be treated ourselves!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have hosted quite a few couchSurfers by now and it's been a great pleasure to have people around!
We've recently started travelling a bit ourselves and, of course, the people who have hosted us so far were great!

Interests

Doing a lot of sports: Capoeira, basketball, bouldering & (olympic) weight lifting; (power) yoga; boxing
cuisine; music (playing and listening to)
Brazilian culture; languages
Cognitive neuroscience, the brain and behaviour
Playing board games;
Writing in general (poems, short texts and lyrics)
Drawing (I'm trying to get good at it!!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I fought against cancer twice, and won it twice, during my young adult years. Well, it is not amazing because it's not such a wonderful experience in itself, but it simply changed my life and the way I see and interact with the world around me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm good at teaching and learning languages and I know quite a lot about my culture (Brazilian).
I play capoeira and different music instruments.

I love learning in general, no matter what.
But to be a bit more specific:
Teach me any language and I'll love learning it.
I like learning new forms of (body-)expression.
I'm also interested in learning how to cook things I haven't tried myself yet.
