About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn about myself by gently poking at the world (sometimes with a spoon...)

ABOUT ME

I'm more in favor of an alert and focused, or broad and slow-paced, dialogue about this, as about almost any other subject for that matter, than an inevitably stale monologue about oneself.

PHILOSOPHY

Don’t beat yourself over what life is all about as we’re not really equipped as a species to get the ultimate answer. There are only individual truths so try building up a decent one for yourself.
Be truthful to yourself, curious and inquisitive but yet considerate and most of all try and enjoy the ride! It’s the only one you’ll ever get in all eternity.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Traveling, meeting people, decanting experiences and sharing them as hopefully inspiring thoughts.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Most of my CS experiences have been delightfully interesting, engaging and pleasant.

Interests

Knowledge (in the broadest sense), the arts, the universe (big and small), travel, 42, the answer to it all, life and living, philosophy, photography, diving, sailing, a good twist of words, an honest laugh.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many and too varied to be bothered to name them, but if you ask specifically, I'll oblige and answer...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Realized (rather late) that one can't claim back a single wasted minute, let alone an entire day and that life is a singular and unrepeatable experience. Since then tried to lead my life accordingly (well, doing my best...)

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: robust reasoning skill, photography, "motorcycle maintenance" (don't take this literally - see R.M. Pirsig), how to remember what "the establishment" want you to foreget, how to prepare eggs Benedict.
Learn: the arts of haiku and origami, kite-surfing, strings theory, and frighteningly lots more...
Share: my last sandwich.
