About Me
Hey there, I'm Virgílio!
Originally from Portugal, in Tokyo since mid-2018. Moved here for the people, the food and the amazing alternative music scene. Living in a shared apartment with 6 people, plus a 7th bedroom dedicated to hosting couchsurfing guests from all over the world.
I was born and raised in the Portuguese countryside to Dutch parents. Decided to go discover my origins and went to the Netherlands for uni, but ended up in a super international environment instead. Got the chance to live in the US, Germany and Japan for various exchanges and internships. After graduating I came back to Tokyo to work with cute robots.
In my spare time I usually go to concerts, go bouldering, or just enjoy dinner and drinks with friends. Love that there are always new places of the city to explore, so feel free to join me! What are you looking forward to the most in Tokyo?
Interests
Music and going to concerts (from techno to shoegaze to math rock to ambient to screamo to post-rock to indie etc etc). Bouldering, only indoor so far but looking forward to going climbing outside for the first time soon. Mountain biking, hiking and most things to do with nature. Soccer, both playing and watching. Reading and learning interesting new things.
